Asterfel – Open World RPG
For Asterfel, an open-world RPG, I was responsible for environment optimization, texture optimization, and material performance improvements, ensuring a stable visual experience across large-scale environments while maintaining the project's artistic quality.
A significant part of my work focused on leveraging Unreal Engine's open-world technologies, including World Partition and Packed Level Actors (PLAs), to improve streaming efficiency, reduce memory usage, and optimize scene management. I collaborated closely with the art and level design teams to identify performance bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions for large environments.
Through material optimization, texture streaming improvements, and world partitioning strategies, I helped enhance overall performance while preserving the visual fidelity expected from a modern open-world RPG.
