In this project, I was responsible for the development and technical implementation of character and weapon materials, including skin, hair, clothing, and advanced weapon shaders. I also implemented gameplay-driven visual feedback systems, such as ammo state indicators, firing feedback, and interaction cues, ensuring clarity and responsiveness during gameplay.
I designed and maintained the asset import pipeline, establishing a consistent and scalable workflow that improved iteration speed for both art and design teams.
A significant part of my role involved integrating, implementing, and optimizing VFX throughout the game. Working extensively with Blueprints, I ensured that interactive visual elements communicated clearly with the player while maintaining strong performance standards. I was also responsible for creating the levitation effects used on various gameplay objects, combining shaders, VFX, and gameplay systems to reinforce the game's sci-fi atmosphere.
To support environment production, I developed procedural tools that enabled efficient creation of modular urban elements such as buildings, streets, railings, and other structural assets. I was specifically responsible for the procedural generation system used to create and populate buildings, helping the team achieve large-scale environments while preserving artistic flexibility.
I was also deeply involved in performance optimization, analyzing CPU, GPU, and memory usage to identify bottlenecks and implement targeted solutions in order to meet strict performance budgets across multiple platforms.
In close collaboration with the Lead Environment Artist and Art Director, I helped define the lighting setup and overall visual mood of the project, carefully balancing artistic vision with technical constraints.
Additionally, I actively participated in the production of the game's teaser trailer. For this effort, I was responsible for environment creation, lighting, and cinematic VFX, helping establish the visual identity and atmosphere showcased in the promotional material.
